Stephen Ministry is a distinctive Christian care-giving ministry. Everyone needs care - sometimes right now and sometimes later. As Christians, we are called by Jesus to take care of each other. Stephen Ministry is a response to that directive from God. Stephen Ministers receive more than 60 hours of training to become a care giver. They “walk” with another person through a time of difficulty, confusion, illness or crisis. We don’t give advice or counsel. We listen, comfort, pray and care. It is a one-to-one confidential relationship. Christians are responsible for care: God is responsible for cure.
